Matthew Churchill.....by Morgan Chaulk
good-bye Matthew Churchill
may you forever grow in our hearts
you had the strength that placed itself
when tears came crashing down

you stood up for your friends
and you helped those in pain
now you belong to heaven
and the stars spell out your name

A part of us we've lost those lonely days
without your smile but
these memories we will always carry
for the Coves' Golden Child

and even though we try, the truth
brings us to tears all our words
cannot express the joy you've
brought us through the years

Good-bye Matthew Churchill
from a school lost without your soul
who will miss your smile and your compassion
more than you will ever know

Matthew.....by Vera Lynn Greeley

Go with God forevermore

know that you have passed through the final door

its so sad to know you are gone away

never again see the light of day

you are so deeply missed and loved

now in the arms of a dove

It was hard to say my last goodbye

to a casket you laid inside

but we all know that you’re in heaven

smiling on us number 4 and 7

playing a tune and shooting goals

but in our hearts you’ve left big holes

But now you play onto the Lord

playing to his sweet accord

you left us so soon but god couldn’t wait

to have an angel so perfect and great

so he called you home to the sky

and left us here to cry

God knows we miss you and want you back

but his will must be more important then that

Matthew was a beautiful soul

his life was so happy and whole

so I hope this is some comfort to you

to know you are missed for that we know

Always happy and made everyone smile

had a heart of gold like a little child

you were an amazing person and friend

I’ll call you mine till the end

We hope one day to see you again

and to be as good as you till then.

A Good Friend…..by Matthew Thomas
He was a friend to one
A friend to all
Even in the spring and fall.

Matt was a really funny guy
He always had a joke
Nothing like, why did the chicken cross the road.

Matt was a nice guy
One of the best you’ll ever meet
When he played his music it would move your feet.

And though we say goodbye, we will cry
God has a plan for you in the sky
But we wished you never died.

We will raise pink and purple
Until the skies turn blue
We will only do it for you.

Take His Hand…..by Katie Paul
Why did you have to go away?
I wish I knew what to say.
You left some of us here all alone
My voice now has a lonely tone.

Why did you have to die?
Well. Now you’re with him in the sky
In Gods helpful hands
Now its time to take a stand…

In Memory of Matt…..by Brittany
It was just about a week ago
When we lost a dear old friend
A student, a son, a great loss
Tragically led to his end.

As days go on
It seems so far away
But in our prayers this
Grieving family shall stay.

But time it seems to continue
And he will stay in our minds
And the strong soul we pray
God will find.

For Matthew…..by Ashley Churchill
In a cloud of thought
Many memories are brought
Times of happiness not sad
You were never angry-you were always glad

Spring is here as petals fall from blooming trees
And summer is coming with the bees
Then you would drop the school brook and fun far away
To swim, skateboard and play

The fall roles around again
Smiling as you open up the year, mind ready for another school year
But times are cold and when winter came,
Because the cold winds will blow as you snow board

Now spring is back and I reflect on all the days
You playing games and eating food and never worried
Because you were strong and willing.

Then its now, you have shown me something I’ll never forget
You will always be in my thoughts.

A Poem…..by Michelle Ward
It’s a horrible thing death,
Just that word makes me cry.
It’s horrible that you’re the one God chose to die.
So many people in this world care about you,
They always make sure they knew what you were going to do.

But this dear Matt, was a terrifying surprise,
All of us down here miss the sparkle in your eyes.
Please come visit us soon Matthew,
It’s so hard living each day without you.
All we can do now is cry and pray,
And please believe me when I say,
Every night before I lay my head,
I promise there will always be a loving prayer said.

Lost Laughter…..by Adam (C.Z.) Noseworthy
A silence broke by a laugh that could brighten
my spirit
A friend that could place a smile on
a face
A life that could never be replaced
From his honesty to his bravery.
His skills on the ice to the runs taken on his boards.
The lost sounds that came from his guitar
good or bad to a “lost laughter”

Matthew…..by a Friend
Inside our souls
Your spirit lurks
Making us remember
Though it hurts
You’ll keep on living
Nevertheless
Your happiness we’ll
remember the best
