2010  

The 2010 recipient of the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Award for Leary's Brook Junior High was Manveer Khural.

2009  

The 2009 recipient of the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Award for Leary's Brook Junior High was ROBERT KING.

2008  

The 2008 recipient of the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Award for Leary's Brook Junior High was BRANDON TUCKER.

2007  

The 2007 recipient of the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Award for Leary's Brook Junior High was RUTH BARTLETT.

2006  

The 2006 recipient of the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Award for Leary's Brook Junior High was ROBYN NOSEWORTHY who received her award from Desma.

Also during the awards presentation, the cheerleaders of Leary's Brook and Mr. Head's 9-212 class presented us with donations amounting to $780 for the Memorial Fund.  We were also presented with a beautiful painting of Matthew done by the grandfather of one of the 9-212 students. We would like to thank Mr. Whalen for his beautiful rendition of Matthew and the 9-212 students and cheerleaders for their fundraising for the Memorial Fund.

2005  

In the first year of this award, three students were chosen as recipients.  The selection committee could not choose just one of the three since all were equally deserving.  We would like to congratulate Ashley Churchill, Stephen George and Amber Garland as the 2005 recipients of the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Industry Award.

In addition to their own plaque of recognition, they also received a monetary disbursement from the Matthew R. Churchill Memorial Fund.  Their names will also be added to the Matthew R. Churchill Grade 9 Industry Award plaque that will be on permanent display at Leary's Brook Junior High.
